Our project succeeded in the first round of the EIC Accelerator!

We are delighted with the great success ! Project PURITY THROUGH MINERALIZATION received a GO rating in the first round of the EIC Accelerator evaluation and will advance to the second round !

The EIC Accelerator aims to identify and support the most ground-breaking innovations from Europe with the potential to scale up internationally and become a leader in global markets. 

The PURITY THROUGH MINERALIZATION project involves more than 20 members of a team of experts from the Technical University Košice and Comenius University in Bratislava together with the grant consulting company BALTEUS spol s r.o. 

The project addresses the degradation of viruses and pathogens at the molecular level up to the mineralization phase, creating new "clean" air molecules. This solution creates entirely new technological approaches based on the efficient synergy of multiple processes in an innovative reactor, which can be applied in many other fields. Key aspects of the efficiency of the solution are the effective synergy of cold plasma and photocatalysis in a realistic environment - for example, without the production of ozone and other unwanted gases or substances.

We submitted a short proposal for this project, consisting of a 3-minute video, a PITCH presentation of the project, and answering questions summarizing the innovation proposal, potential markets, and working team, to EIC Accelerator a few weeks ago. These short project proposals, which can also be called the first round in the grant application process, were evaluated by independent experts from the European Commission over a period of 4 weeks. 

Successful projects, including PURITY THROUGH MINERALIZATION, are then invited to complete a feasibility study and business plan over the next few months to confirm interest and success in the global marketplace. If the project is successful in the second round, or if the full project proposal is successful, the final step to receive the prestigious grant will be to present the project to a panel of investors and business experts from across Europe. 

Currently our technology and products are presented in the Slovak pavilion at the exhibition EXPO Dubai 2021. The whole team is already working to EXPO Dubai 2021 was not the highlight of the project, but that the project continues to progress and be successful, for example in the second round of the EIC Accelerator, which awaits us in the coming months.
